Well we got the sails up the for the first time but the main sail needs some adjusting on the mast side. My polypropylene rope loops are not all the same.Probably work as is but I think I can do better.

Before a title can be issued in Florida, a law enforcement officer from Fish & Game must inspect the boat for marine law compliance. Florida law doesn't allow its officers pics to appear on the Internet so the photo of the truck was the best I could do ... but I passed and got the paperwork signed!

There are only two forms required. Both are a statement of the build, material sources etc. One is filled out by the builder and the other is filled out by the Florida Fish & Game law enforcement officer. Take both to DMV and pay the fees. Voila, boat title and registration; one stop shopping.

You only get one renewal sticker but the numbers go on both sides. They used to issue a pretty state seal but now it's just a green tag the says "expires on ..." The small sticker in the middle is identical to the ones on my cars. The green vinyl field is just a place to stick it.

My under the hull motor mount was troublesome so I built the motor into a plywood hull covered with and filled with epoxy resin. It's a little crude but works!
